Thrashers 2, Ducks 1: Afinogenov’s Nets Power Play Winner
Atlanta, GA (Sports Network) - Maxim Afinogenov's power-play score early in the third period was the difference, as the Atlanta Thrashers held on for a 2-1 win over the Anaheim Ducks at Philips Arena.

In a tie game entering the final period, Atlanta went on the power play after Anaheim defenseman Nick Boynton was called for high-sticking.
