An Inside Look at Target Field

↵The baseball world scratched its collective head when MLB approved an open-air stadium in Minnesota for the Twins to play baseball. This just in, it’s cold in April, and it’s really cold in late October and November. Get ready for a lot of “PPD: Snow” in the early-season – and potential playoff – box scores. ↵

↵↵But other than the potential for weather delays, wow this stadium looks nice. Members of Idea Peep Show, part of the Minneapolis marketing firm Fast Horse Inc., got a behind-the-scenes tour of Target Field. And it’s pretty darn nice up there, snow or not.↵

↵↵There are a ton of premium seats with good sight lines and a cruise-ship like pavilion in left field with more club seats that includes an outdoor rooftop area to watch the game. There’s also a giant bar dedicated to Kirby Puckett and the 537 Club, which honors Twins legend Harmon Killebrew.↵

↵

↵And to those of us who keep harping on the cold weather, those in Minnesota are clearly made of tougher stuff. Besides, as the Idea Peep Show folks explained, they're just excited to get out of the Metrodome.↵

↵↵⇥After my tour, it was hard to imagine ever seeing a nicer professional sports stadium. It seems as though they have thought of everything! From lounges to food and bars, there doesn’t seem to be a bad seat in the house. The views, accommodations and experience from every seat seem priceless to me. (Click for more photos.)↵⇥↵⇥It’s tough to pick a favorite feature when I am so excited for all of it! No more heading into a bubble on a beautiful summer day. Instead, pack the sunscreen and decide which angle you are going to get the best tan from! The toughest decision to make now will be which of the many stadium bars you want to get a drink from. ↵⇥

↵↵And if that isn’t enough, they will be serving copious amounts of local fare – including both pork and walleye – on a stick. This may be the greatest stadium in America and they haven’t even played a game yet.↵
