Rory MacDonald v. Carlos Condit Rumored For UFC 115

MMA Mania has the scoop:

Former WEC welterweight champion, Carlos Condit (24-5), is in talks to take on King of the Cage star Rory MacDonald (10-0), at UFC 115 from the General Motors Place in Vancouver, B.C., Canada, on June 15.

MMAmania.com learned of the pending match up earlier today.

This is a rather shocking move as MacDonald represents the possible future of the division and Condit is a handful for anyone at 170 pounds. Rory recently picked up his tenth stoppage win in ten fights with a submission win over Michael Guymon at UFC Fight Night 20.

Condit lost to Martin Kampmann via a very hard fought decision at Fight Night 18 and, more recently, survived a very stiff test from Jake Ellenberger. Given the tougher competition and vast experience edge it would seem that Carlos would be the fairly heavy favorite in this match.
