Video: Wes Welker Injures Knee, Will Not Return

It’s exactly the kind of freak injury that will spur some to bellow for resting of starters late in the NFL season, and exactly the kind of freak injury that is totally unpredictable and could happen during any game. But Wes Welker will not return to today’s Patriots-Texans tilt, and his availability for New England’s first-round playoff game next weekend is obviously up in the air.

So prepare for a week of vituperation from all sides.
