Sunday Afternoon College Hoops: Big Ten And Big East Doubleheaders On Tap

Sunday afternoon’s college basketball schedule features a Big Ten doubleheader and a Big East twin bill.

  • The first Big East game features 13th-ranked Georgetown, as they travel to struggling DePaul. The Hoyas won a close one against St. John's in their Big East opener on New Year's Eve. Our Georgetown blog, Casual Hoya, will have full coverage of this contest.
  • Speaking of the Red Storm, they host Providence in the second game of the Big East pair. The Friars fell at Notre Dame in their league opener Wednesday.
  • In the Big Ten, Wisconsin, big winners over 15th-ranked Ohio State on Thursday afternoon, travels to Penn State. The Nittany Lions are looking for their first conference win, as they dropped a close one at Minnesota on Tuesday. Visit SB Nation's Penn State blog, Black Shoe Diaries, and Wisconsin blog, Bucky's 5th Quarter, for more on this game.
  • The Buckeyes are also back in action, and they'll look to rebound another team that lost on New Year's Eve, Michigan. Even though the Wolverines have struggled of late, you have to believe they'll be up for a home game against their biggest rivals. Our new Buckeyes blog, The Buckeye Battle Cry, and Wolverines blog, Maize N Brew, will have more on this game.

There is also an ACC-centered tripleheader that spans the late afternoon and evening hours, you can follow those games on this page.
