Dana White: Brock Lesnar Is Going Back To The Doctor

“This is the week. This is the week Brock Lesnar is going back to the doctor, getting fully checked out by one of the best doctors and hospitals in the world. If the doctors say things are going well and things are going in the right direction, then maybe we’re a few months away from him coming back. If it’s not, and not going in the right direction, he’ll either be done and have to retire or he’ll be out for a couple of years. So hopefully we get good news. And then after we get that announcement, then we’ll be able to plan what we’re going to do with the heavyweight division.”

- Dana White speaking to TSN

There has been a lot of debate over what the true status of Lesnar’s illness is. Multiple sources have reported that he is already doing strength training and some other light work-outs while White has been insisting that Brock is still in bad shape. At the same time White was in front of the media stating that Lesnar had spent time at the Mayo Clinic while Lesnar’s own camp has said that he never was there.

It’s possible that this is a play to promote Lesnar’s next fight as a return not only to the cage, but as a man coming from his deathbed to the Octagon. Or it is also possible that Lesnar and his team did not want the true seriousness of the situation out in the open and Dana was simply being honest.

Either way, it sounds like we will know more this week.
