Mike Shanahan flew from Denver to Dulles, VA on Monday, where he left in Dan Snyder's Maybach Mercedes, according to NBC's Dan Hellie. The two will presumably take the short drive from Dulles to Redskins Park to discuss, in person, Shanahan becoming the next head coach of the Washington Redskins. Unless of course the deal is already done, in which case they may just go have a cocktail before formally introducing Shanahan to the press.
Mike Shanahan Reportedly In VA Meeting With Dan Snyder
This report comes on the heels of the news earlier Monday afternoon that new Redskins GM Bruce Allen already interviewed Shanahan via the telephone shortly after Allen fired Jim Zorn.
And, in case you needed any further evidence that Shanahan will be Washington’s next coach, Texas coach Gary Kubiak reportedly told his team to wish their offensive coordinator -- Kyle Shanahan, Mike’s son -- good luck in Washington. Kyle previously stated publicly that he would follow his father wherever he ended up coaching.
