ESPN announced that it is launching ESPN 3D this year, to be the sixth stepsister to ESPN, joining ESPNews, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPN 360 and ESPN Classic. The channel will feature a minimum of 85 live games throughout its first year, starting with the opening game of he FIFA World Cup in June. Never has watching men run around for two hours felt SO REAL. They will also broadcast the Summer X-Games in 3D, which seems like a more worthwhile application of the third dimension.
