Chris Chelios, former Chicago Blackhawks and Detroit Red Wings defenseman, was reportedly arrested on December 28 in Chicago and charged with driving under the influence and speeding. WGN is reporting that Chelios was alone in his pickup truck, and was released later on bond.

↵Chelios began his career in 1984 with the Montreal Canadiens and became known as one of the most dangerous offensive threats from the blueline in the NHL. He is best known as the “hockey player who just won’t quit,’ playing in 1,645 NHL games in 24 seasons. After the Red Wings decided not to re-sign the 47-year old this past summer, it was announced that Chelios had signed with the Chicago Wolves of the AHL.
