Combining Forces - Eddie Sharp and Carl Hartman form Sharp Hartman Racing

MOORESVILLE, North Carolina (January 5, 2009) - Eddie Sharp, owner of Eddie Sharp Racing in the ARCA Racing Series presented by RE/MAX and Menards, and Carl Hartman, owner of the #41 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series truck, have taken advantage of their 20 year friendship to form Sharp Hartman Racing. SHR will compete in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series in the #41 truck with a driver to be named.
SHR will be an extension of ESR, moving from their Salisbury, N.C. shop to the ESR shop located in Denver, N.C. With Eddie bringing his expertise, shop and personnel and Carl bringing the truck equipment and experience in the truck series, they will be combining resources in an effort to take this new venture to the next level.

Owner, Eddie Sharp is excited about the possibilities this partnership brings, "This is a great opportunity to move to the next level and build a program that gives the drivers who go through ESR's ARCA program a natural step into NASCAR competition." Sharp explains, "My goal is to further enhance what we have built at ESR in the ARCA Racing Series; and it is a natural fit for me to work with Carl and help him elevate his program in the truck series."

Carl Hartman shared Sharp's excitement, "I have known Eddie for a long time and have a lot of respect for his success. Having found success on my own as a short track owner, I want to elevate my truck team to get to the next level. Hopefully, this will all start in Daytona."

SHR is actively looking for sponsorship to compete for some or all of the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series schedule. For sponsorship opportunities, contact Jeff Goddard at jeff@goactiv8.com.
