Now THAT Is Why They’re The Warriors

At the 1:05-mark in this clip, there’s a moment that is so quintessentially Warriors, it’s almost too perfect to have actually happened. Almost:

When you’re up one with just a 1.4 seconds left, there’s really only one job. Do not foul them, and make them hit a miracle shot. You hear that, Golden State? That’s your job. DO YOUR JOB. When JR Smith takes a 40-foot fadeaway falling out of bounds, do NOT touch him, go near, or even breathe on him the wrong way. If he hits that shot, then Denver deserved to win.

But of course, this is the Warriors we’re talking about. The most talented terrible team you will ever see. It’s not like Smith was even fouled that hard — you could make a good case that the Warriors got screwed and it should have been a no-call — but still… Why even give the officials an opportunity to interject? Um, because they’re the Warriors, that’s why.
