Matt McCall Partners with Activ8 Communications

Mooresville, NC (Wednesday, January 06) - Matt McCall has recently signed on with Activ8 Communications for his public relations, branding, and social media needs. McCall, native of Denver, N.C., is a two-time United Auto Racing Association (UARA) Series Champion and former front-runner in Discovery Channel's Roush Racing Gong Show.

Activ8 Communications, based in Mooresville, North Carolina, is a full-service public relations and marketing firm founded by veteran NSCS spotter Mike Calinoff. McCall's decision to sign on with the organization was based on Activ8's specialization in motorsports and ability to manage the driver's PR, sponsorship acquisition, and personal branding, while increasing fan interaction through digital media and social networking.

"Matt's going to be a great asset to our client list," said Calinoff. "He works hard to move up the ranks in racing, and we're going to strengthen his abilities to interact with fans and get his name out there."

Before coming to Activ8 for his social media needs McCall said, "I've never used any form of social media and have no idea how to use any of the programs. I am excited to be teaming up with Activ8 and am grateful they have some of the best in the business working to help me be more 'tech savvy'."

The 28-year-old driver is also an avid competitor of martial arts and a business owner of a company, Matt McCall Motorsports, featuring top-notch racing parts. Along with racing, these two aspects of McCall's life have molded him into a strong, determined goal achiever. McCall's actions on the track have reflected his success throughout his years of traveling along the east coast racing karts; then later making his name known at local short track Hickory Motor Speedway.

Since making his NASCAR debut in 2003, McCall has gained invaluable experience on the track in the Nationwide, Camping World Truck, and ARCA Series. Making history in 2009, McCall became the first repeat champion in the UARA Series. He earned four wins while posting 10 top 5s and 14 top 10s. Averaging a sixth place finish, McCall earned 1,492 points that left him with a 46-point cushion lead going into the last event of the season.

While actively seeking sponsorship and continuing his pursuit of driving full-time in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, McCall is excited for what the 2010 season will bring to his career. Stay tuned for his plans and aspirations for the upcoming year.
