I think it’s safe to say that last night’s Celtics-Heat game is on the short list of best games of the 2009/10 season. Maybe it wasn’t always pretty in the first 45 minutes of the game, but those last three minutes were something else.
The most impressive thing to me is how Boston kept bouncing back. I’m not going to make one of those “that’s what champions do” points, but could you think of any other team who could a) rally from the fourth-quarter deficit they faced on the road against a good team, b) execute a perfect inbounds play with .6 seconds left to get to overtime and c) still have enough to win in OT after all of that? Miami, FL (Sports Network) - Rajon Rondo tied the game with an alley-oop layup off an inbounds pass from Paul Pierce at the end of regulation, helping Boston to a 112-106 win over Miami.
Rondo scored six of his team-high 25 points in overtime, as the Celtics overcame a season-best 44 from Miami’s Dwyane Wade.
