DEA Questioned Vick About Steroids in ‘07

The Smoking Gun yesterday published documents acquired through a Freedom of Information Act request that show that federal prosecutors, FBI agents and Department of Agriculture officials questioned Michael Vick about whether he was in possession of or has used steroids back in 2007.↵↵The questioning, which took place at a debriefing after Vick already plead guilty to dog fighting charges, arose from a DEA informant claiming that he overheard Vick at an Atlanta Falcons annual Christmas party in 2006 telling a known dealer of steroids and human growth hormone that he “liked his product”.↵

↵↵In the interview, the documents show Vick denied that the conversation ever occurred and that he has never used steroids or any form of human growth hormone. Vick has never tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs. If there were more to this initial claim, chances are we might have heard something about it by now. If it were true, it would be more than just Vick who would face problems, but the Falcons would likely be further investigated for having a known steroids dealer at a team function.↵
