Fantasy Football: Jermichael Finley Injury Could Cost Him Most Of Season

On Sunday TE JerMichael Finley left the Packers game with an injury and was seen later with crutches. The initial report on his injury is that it's a torn meniscus in his right knee. He reportedly underwent surgery on the knee on Tuesday.

Most have been saying the recovery time is 3-6 weeks but Brad Biggs of the National Football Post reports it could be a lot longer than that.

Initial reports were that Finley would miss three to six weeks with the injury. However, a league source said that the recovery time will be more like six to 10 weeks and if it’s at that outer limit, Finley’s availability for this season will be very much in doubt.

This is a tough situation for the Packers. Even if Finley were to miss 10 weeks -- which would essentially be the entire season -- the Packers would likely want him for the playoffs.

For fantasy football players this news may end his season on your team. Most fantasy football playoffs are in Week 14-16, or sometime around then, and Finley, if the report is accurate, could still be out until then.
