The Browns are run by GM Tom Heckert who was previously with the Eagles. That familiarity helped them out on Wednesday when the Browns and Eagles made a trade that will send RB Jerome Harrison to Philadelphia, according to FOX Sports' Jay Glazer, and the Browns will receive RB Mike Bell from the Eagles.
Eagles Reportedly Trade RB Mike Bell To Browns For RB Jerome Harrison
Harrison started to break out last year but never got a full time opportunity with Cleveland. He’s struggled this year carrying the ball 31 times for 91 yards, including a 39-yard run. Harrison was the Browns 5th round pick in 2006.
Bell is an undrafted free agent that has played for the Broncos, Texans and Saints. He was the lone restricted free agent signed to an offer sheet this year.
