NFL Picks Week 7: Cincinnati Bengals Vs. Atlanta Falcons

Cincinnati Bengals vs. Atlanta Falcons

When: 1:00 p.m. Sunday, CBS

SB Nation Bengals: Cincy Jungle

SB Nation Falcons: The Falcoholic

Breakdown: The Falcons run the ball well and that's what they'll try to do at home against Cincy. The Bengals are the league's 19th ranked rush defense but they're better than that ranking. On offense one of the keys will be Carson Palmer and the Bengals passing game. They pass it a lot but Palmer needs to be on cue. He can't have a lot of mistakes because the Falcons offense is good enough that it will eventually hurt them. Plus, the Falcons like to run the ball meaning lots of clock time and a less than average number of possessions for Cincy.

Player to Watch: Michael Turner. If the Falcons can get the run game going I think they can win this one. They're going up against a solid group but if Turner can get going, he'll keep the crowd in the game and play the type of game that the Falcons like to play, particularly at home.

Line: Falcons are 3.5 point favorites.
Prediction: I’ll take the Falcons. Palmer has been too inconsistent for me to rely on him. But if he does get hot it’ll be close. The Falcons win in a close one.
