NFL Week 7 Picks: Washington Redskins Vs. Chicago Bears
When: 1:00 p.m. Sunday, FOX
SB Nation Redskins: Hogs Haven
SB Nation Bears: Windy City Gridiron
Breakdown: This should be an interesting game. With Jay Cutler the Bears could have a field day against the Redskins 31st ranked pass defense. Even if the Bears decide to run it, they'll be going against a team in the bottom third of the league in run defense. There are a lot of positives for the Bears on offense in this game. Offensively the Redskins will want to be able to throw the ball but I would watch out for Ryan Torain. He's starting to come into his own and he wouldn't be the first no-name running back to excel in a Mike Shanahan offense.
Player to Watch: Ryan Torain. I get the feeling that Mike Martz and Jay Cutler will be able to slice up the Redskins pass defense so their response should be Ryan Torain, and lots of him. Shanahan is an outstanding coach and knows how to put the game at the pace he likes. The Redskins aren’t pushovers on offense so beefing up and using Torain as much as possible would be a good game plan.
Line: Bears are three point favorites.
Prediction: This game is close enough that I’m rolling with the home team as my tie breaker. Take the Bears as Cutler should be able to move the ball against the Redskins.
