Once again, the USA Today coaches poll has Oregon atop the first of the college football polls to be released this week.

Oregon holds the top spot for the second straight week, receiving 50 of 59 first place votes. Boise State, Auburn, TCU and Michigan State round out the top five, and the Broncos, Tigers, and Horned Frogs all received at least one first place vote.

Oklahoma and LSU, both top-six teams last week, fall out of the top ten after road losses. Oklahoma drops from third to 10th after losing to Missouri, which rises from 16th to eighth, and LSU plummets from sixth to 13th after falling at Auburn.

The bottom of the poll holds a pleasant surprise for one of the more moribund programs in the annals of college football. Baylor comes in at 24th, returning to the polls after many years of absence and a 47-42 win over Kansas State on Saturday.

The Week 9 AP Poll hasn’t dropped yet, but it may look very similar.
