Saints CB Tracy Porter Out 2-4 Weeks After Spraining MCL

Mike Triplett reports Saints CB Tracy Porter will miss two to four weeks due to a sprained left MCL:

Porter came back into Sunday's game briefly after suffering the injury during the Carolina Panthers' final offensive drive. But tests revealed a slight tear on Monday, according to a source.

Who knows; this might be a good omen for Saints fans. Porter suffered the same injury last year, returning to make game-sealing interceptions in both the NFC Championship Game and the Super Bowl.

Losing Porter limits the amount of pass rush creativity Saints DC Gregg Williams can express. Rookie Patrick Robinson is expected to fill Porter’s role for the time being.
