On Saturday, No. 13 Iowa is running into some trouble at Northwestern, where the unranked Wildcats have stymied the Hawkeyes defense to take a 7-3 lead into halftime. These Big Ten rivals are both bowl-eligible, with Northwestern looking to improve to 3-3 in conference games this season.

Northwestern's lone score came from a first-quarter touchdown, as quarterback Dan Persa ran two yards into the end zone. Through the air, Persa has completed 11 of 12 passes for 99 yards. The Wildcats had another opportunity to score after starting a drive at Iowa's 40-yard line, but settled for a field goal attempt that was ultimately missed by kicker Stefan Demos, who now has seven misses for the season.
On the Iowa side, Ricky Stanzi has completed 11 of 16 passes for 83 yards; the Northwestern defense has limited his offense to a field goal in the final seconds of the first half. Running back Adam Robinson has 52 yards on the ground.
