Hines Ward Leaves Patriots Game With Neck Injury

Hineshelmet_medium

Steelers receiver Hines Ward left the Sunday night game against the Patriots with a neck injury after taking a helmet-to-helmet shot from a Patriots defender on an attempted reception.

In the final seconds of the first quarter, Ben Roethlisberger hit Ward over the middle on a 2nd down pass. As Ward was being taken down immediately by a defender, the two players' helmets collided.

Ward is being held out of the game with what is being called a neck injury. His return has been ruled questionable.
