Hines Wards’ Receptions Streak Ends After Injury

Hines Ward did not return to the Steelers game against the Patriots on Sunday night after injuring his neck. As such, his streak of 186 consecutive regular-season games with at least one reception has officially ended.

That streak was the third-longest in NFL history. Marvin Harrison remains at second place at 191 consecutive games. Had he kept it up, Ward still would have had a heck of a way to go. Jerry Rice tops the list and he’s 274 games ahead of Ward in the record book.
