The only surprise in tonight’s Alabama-Georgia State match-up was that the Panthers got on the board. The Crimson Tide rolled, crusing to a 63-7 victory tonight in Tuscaloosa. Alabama forced five turnovers on the night and held Georgia State just 165 yards of total offense in the rout.

Greg McElroy got the scoring started, hitting Julio Jones for eight yards and a touchdown, beginning a barrage of touchdowns for the Crimson Tide. On the day, McElroy only missed once, completing 12-13 passes for 157 yards and two touchdowns, both to Jones. Mark Ingram and Eddie Lacy combined for 167 yards and two touchdowns before enjoying the rest of the game from the bench. Jones finished 86 yards and two touchdowns on seven catches.
Georgia State did manage one highlight. Down 42-0 in the second quarter, Cade Foster gathered an Albert Wilson kickoff and raced 97 yards for the score. Georgia State's quarterbacks combined to complete 5-17 passes for 74 yards and four interceptions. The Panthers also had a punt blocked for a touchdown. Travis Evans and Kelton Hill each rushed for 30 yards, as well.
The Crimson Tide improve to 9-2 on the year after tonight's final tune-up before the Iron Bowl. Alabama hosts the No. 2 Auburn Tigers next Friday night in a huge SEC match-up.
