The fight card for UFC Fight for the Troops 2 is coming together quickly and is building into a very nice show. The first Fight for the Troops was an odd card that featured a number of horrific injuries so one hopes that the UFC is able to deliver a fantastic show for our men and women in uniform. Here’s a look at some recent announcements regarding the card.
UFC Fight For The Troops 2 Coming Together
A source close to Heavy MMA informed them of a new main event for the card:
UFC lightweights Kenny Florian and Evan Dunham will meet in the main event at UFC Fight for the Troops 2 on January 22 as opposed to fighting at UFC 126 as previously rumored.
Mike Swick is expected to return after nearly a year out of the game to face David Mitchell in his sophomore effort in the Octagon at the UFC event in Fort Hood. Sources confirmed that both fighters have verbally agreed to the bout. They will fight in the welterweight division.
A heavyweight scrap is set up for the card also as Matt Mitrione is said to be taking on Tim Hague:
Heavyweights Matt Mitrione and Tim Hague are expected to meet on the UFC's yet-to-be-announced Jan. 22 card.
Sources close to the fight confirmed the news on Sunday, saying both fighters have agreed to the matchup and have signed bout agreements.
