Wow we’re at the last event of the 2010 season and three guys are in the running for the Championship; Hamlin, Johnson and Harvick.
Ford 400 | Homestead-Miami Speedway Open Race Thread
My pick to win the race is Edwards, my dark horse pick is Martin, and my Championship winner is none other than Jimmie Johnson.
Certainly Harvick can do it, as can Hamlin but with all things being equal I think the #48 team has got it.
Hamlin stands a good chance as his finish average at this track is better than Johnson’s (10.6 vs. 12.7) but I think Johnson is a lot more composed right now than Hamlin is and I think Hamlin’s outburst after last week’s race is proof of that.
Harvick has a better average finish than his Championship competitors at 8.4 but he needs help - if everyone finishes within their averages then Harvick won’t win the Championship. Something needs to happen to the other two for Harvick to stand a chance.
Starting line-up after the jump.
