With 83 percent of the team’s offense and 92 percent of the rebounding returning from last season, the Shockers are a deep, experienced bunch looking to make a statement early in this season.
The Huskies (2-0), on the other hand, are still trying to rebuild. Led by All-American candidate Kemba Walker at the point and Alex Oriakhi in the post, UConn will need help from a very talented group of freshman if they hope to keep out of the bottom half of the always dangerous Big East conference.
The crowds in each cheering section are all you need to know about the current situations for each program. The Huskies, who usually travel well, have an entire section empty. While the Shockers’ cheering section is packed to the rafters. They’re loud, excited and feeling just how special this season might be.
