Patriots Vs. Lions: Will Tom Brady Play On Thanksgiving Day?

The New England Patriots and Detroit Lions will meet at 12:30 p.m. (eastern) on Thanksgiving day in what a lot of folks are predicting will be a blowout. The Patriots are 8-2 and tied for the best record in the NFL while the Lions continue to get closer each week but have won only two of their first 10 games.

The biggest question mark entering this game is Tom Brady, who has missed practice this week and is listed as questionable for the game with a foot injury. Some Boston media outlets are predicting he won't play but, according to SB Nation's Pats Pulpit, look for Brady to play.

Brady missed practice and on a short week that could certainly have its affects. However, with a 10+ day break until the Jets game next Monday, don't expect Brady to not suit up tomorrow, despite what his injury report designation may be, and what the media may be saying.

The Patriots have already ruled out offensive lineman Stephen Neal, defensive lineman Myron Pryor, cornerback Jonathan Wilhite, and defensive lineman Mike Wright while the Lions kicker Jason Hanson, defensive end Lawrence Jackson and quarterback Matthew Stafford. The big name on that list is Stafford, who continues to suffer from a shoulder injury.

NFL odds have this game pegged at 7-7.5 points in favor of the Patriots, which is no surprise. The Pats have the league's top ranked offense. They're coming off of two consecutive victories over two of the league's top teams, Pittsburgh Steelers and Indianapolis Colts. Meanwhile the Lions have lost three in a row and four of their last five as the hold the NFL's 15th ranked offense and 22nd ranked defense.

Check out Pats Pulpit and Pride of Detroit for more on the game.
