Saints Vs. Cowboys Continue Thanksgiving Day Football Schedule

The New Orleans Saints travel to Dallas to play the Cowboys in the second of three Thanksgiving day football games this year. Looking at their records -- 7-3 for the Saints and 3-7 for the Cowboys -- you would think this would be a New Orleans blowout.

However, Dallas, who fired head coach Wade Phillips two weeks ago, has been playing well stringing together a pair of victories. They beat the New York Giants and Detroit Lions the last two weeks scoring 33 and 35 points. The revival of the offense for Dallas may make this game interesting.

SB Nation’s Canal Street Chronicles has asked their readers to predict the final score. Of course the vast majority of them are picking the Saints, who are 4-4.5 point favorites. The Saints defense could be in for a challenge if the Cowboys offense continues to play like they have been. This could be a very good matchup because the Saints haven’t given up more than 19 points in a game this month.

On the injury front, the Cowboys are of course without QB Tony Romo and they have RB Felix Jones listed as questionable. For the Saints, RB Pierre Thomas is out while four players are listed as questionable: RB Reggie Bush (fibula), S Malcolm Jenkins (neck), S Darren Sharper (hamstring), TE Jeremy Shockey (rib).

Check out Canal Street Chronicles and Blogging The Boys for more on the game.
