Lions QB Shaun Hill Likely Done For The Season

Lions backup quarterback Shaun Hill might miss the remainder of the regular season after breaking the index finger on his throwing hand in the first half of the loss to the Patriots on Thanksgiving. That means that third string quarterback Drew Stanton is expected to make his third career start Sunday against the Bears.

Stanton took snaps with the first-team offense in the Lions’ Tuesday practice. Head coach Jim Schwartz wouldn’t confirm the status of Hill’s injury, but a source told the Detroit Free Press that the former Maryland quarterback is likely done for the year.

Starting quarterback Matt Stafford is still hoping to come back from his second separated right shoulder of the season, but refused to throw in front of reporters today and the timetable for his recover in unknown at this point.
