Ben Roethlisberger Injury Is Broken Foot; Expected To Play Vs. Ravens

On Wednesday Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger was in a protective walking boot making some concerned about his availability for Week 13 and beyond. Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin quickly put out the fire confirming to reporters that it was just a sprained foot and that he is expected to be available on Sunday.

While he’s still expected to be available, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports that his foot is actually broken.

The fifth metatarsal bone or the outside metatarsal on Roethlisberger's right foot is broken, the Post-Gazette has learned. It was injured during the first quarter of Sunday's game in Buffalo.
Apparently it sounds worse than it is, as he's expected to play Sunday night against the Ravens in what might be the biggest game of the year for the Steelers and the AFC North.

The Steelers went 3-1 early in the season without Roethlisberger so there's no doubt they can win without him. Their only loss during that time? To the Ravens, of course. The two teams are tied atop the AFC North and will play on Sunday Night Football. You can bet the Ravens now know he's hurt.
