NFL Teams Are Enjoying Putting Up Points In 2010

Unless you watch a lot of NFC West football*, you may feel like there is a lot more scoring in NFL games this season. That’s because there has been. According to the league’s Vice President of Football Communications, games are averaging 44.3 points per contest. If this holds over final the two weeks, it would give 2010 the highest points per game average of the Super Bowl era.

↵*It’s the only division without a team totaling over 300 points so far this year.**

**But at least they aren’t as bad as the Panthers, who have scored less than 200 points.
