Typically, one cannot choke away a game when one is trailing. To choke, you need to lose a lead. Given that the Sacramento Kings had a lead against the Golden State Warriors for nearly the entire second half, including when Reggie Williams went to the line for three free throws with the Warriors trailing 98-93.
DeMarcus Cousins Chokes Against Warriors After Jinxing Kings
That did not stop DeMarcus Cousins from implying ever so subtly after Williams' first miss that the Warriors were in danger of choking.

Would you believe the Kings lost that five-point lead and got punked in overtime? They did, and Cousins was at the center of it all. Williams had two more free throws with the Warriors down four and just seconds to go. He made the first and missed the second intentionally. The ball caromed hard off the left side of the rim, right at Cousins, who ... fumbled it out of bounds. On the inbounds play, Dorell Wright hit Vladimir Radmanovic for a game-tying three.
In overtime, Cousins was 1-3, taking a seriously awful shot in the paint with the Kings down one with two minutes to go. While I think my friends at SBNation Bay Area are taking it a bit far, it certainly wasn’t the rookie’s finest moment.
UNLESS!
Cousins, abnormally sober about how bad the Kings have been lately, knew Sacramento would blow it, and was simply telling Williams not to worry about those free throws, because the Kings would choke the game away regardless.
