The Pittsburgh Steelers and Carolina Panthers game headline our NFL picks for Week 16 in a matchup that should be tightly contested with plenty of playoff implications for both teams.
NFL Picks Week 16: Steelers Are Huge Favorites Over Panthers
OK, that’s a lie. The Steelers have wrapped up a playoff spot and they’re only playing for the NFC North title. The Panthers aren’t talking playoffs -- they’re talking 2011 NFL draft -- because they’re on track to receive the No. 1 pick in the draft with just a 2-12 record this year.
It’s too bad the NFL doesn’t flex Thursday Night Football games because this one would be a candidate. The Steelers are a whopping 15 point favorites over the Panthers in a game that should be a snoozer.
The Steelers have one of the best defenses in the NFL and the Panthers stand very little chance of doing anything against them. Carolina’s offense is ranked 32nd in the NFL and their passing offense is 31st. Is it possible a game is over before it starts?
The Steelers will cruise in this one and 15 points may be a little tight on the line. Pittsburgh can easily win this won by 3-4 touchdowns depending on how it all works out Thursday night.
