If there was ever a faint hope that United States Men's National Team player Benny Feilhaber would play in MLS this year, those dreams are now likely dead. The 25-year-old's agent, Lyle Yorks, said three teams have made contract offers.

"There's a few different things on the table," Yorks said. "There's a European club, a team in Mexico and one in South America."
Cruz Azul is rumored to be the Mexican team seeking the midfielder's services and a Brazilian team is rumored to be the South American side. Feilhaber was born in Brazil and moved to the United States as a 6-year-old.
Feilhaber will be out of contract with his Danish second-division team, Aarhus GF, this summer and it’s unlikely he’ll be retained. Discussion with all three teams are advanced, according to Yorks, but an announcement could still be weeks away. There had been some speculation that MLS might try to lure him stateside, but there was never anything firm suggesting that such a move was likely.
