No. 10 Kentucky, UNC Face Off In Chapel Hill

On Saturday in Chapel Hill, No. 10 Kentucky was dealt its second loss of the season, as Tyler Zeller exploded with 27 points to propel North Carolina to victory, 75-73. This victory puts UNC at 5-3 for the season.
Zeller was 8-for-12 from the field, and made the Wildcats pay for their fouls by sinking 11 of 12 free throws. The forward also accounted for nine rebounds.
Zeller’s free throws were especially important in the game’s final seconds, as he shot 6-for-6 in the final 1:21 of the game to pull the Tar Heels into a lead that ultimately held. His 27 points are a season high.
On the Kentucky side of the ball, guard Doron Lamb put up 24 points of his own in a losing effort. Kentucky now falls to 5-2 on the season; this makes for their second loss in three games after falling to UConn.
