After losing QB Brett Favre to a shoulder injury, the Minnesota Vikings got a lift from a good-enough day of relief work by QB Tarvaris Jackson. The backup threw three interceptions, including one returned for a touchdown by BIlls CB Drayton Florence, but the Vikings defense had his back. Forcing five turnovers and allowing only 239 yards, the Vikes D gave up just three points.

RB Adrian Peterson topped 100 yards and scored three touchdowns, while WR Sidney Rice caught 105 and scored twice. RB Toby Gerhart added 54 as the Vikings rolled up 210 yards on the ground. WR Lee Evans led the way for the Bills with 72 yards.
The 5-7 Vikings, 2-0 since firing Brad Childress and promoting Leslie Frazier, get the New York Giants next week. The 2-10 Bills draw the Cleveland Browns at home.
