Patrick Kane Injury: Blackhawks RW Left Game With Apparent Injured Knee

Patrick Kane left the the game against the Flames and Blackhawks early in the first period with an apparent knee injury. As Kane went into the boards, he fell awkwardly as he was being hit by Cory Sarich and his knee twisted underneath him. He was helped off the ice and has not returned to the game. Here is the video of the hit:

Kane was Chicago's second leading scorer with 27 points and is the latest in a line of scorers the Blackhawks have been missing. Marian Hossa has been out of the lineup for a week and is expected to miss two to three more and Fernando Pisani has missed a handful of games as well.

The Blackhawks defeated the Flames 4-2, with four power play goals including two from Dave Bolland. Brian Bickell and Jonathan Toews score the other goals for the Blackhawks while Jarome Iginla and Anton Babchuk scored the lone goals for the Flames.

As soon as we have an update on Kane’s status, we will update this stream. For more information, check out Second City Hockey.
