Following his loss to fellow UFC Hall of Famer Randy Couture at UFC 109 last weekend, Mark “The Hammer” Coleman has been released by the UFC, according to FiveOuncesOfPain.com.
Mark Coleman reportedly released by the UFC
↵↵It looks like it’s the end of the road between Mark Coleman and the UFC, as FiveOuncesofPain.com has recently been able to confirm through sources close to the situation that the UFC Hall of Famer has been released from the promotion following the recent defeat at the hands of fellow MMA legend, Randy Couture.
↵↵While it’s pretty unheard of, actually extremely unheard of, for a fighter to be released from his contract following a lackluster performance in the main event of a UFC card, the argument can surely be made that Coleman had no business being in a main event.
↵Still, if this report proves to indeed be true, as FiveOuncesOfPain.com has been known to get their facts mixed up in the past, it’s pretty ironic that the man Dana White and company just one week ago were selling as a contender in the light heavyweight division and a worthy participant in the main event, has now been axed from the promotion.
