Google Rolls Out Its ‘Slope View’ Feature
↵
↵Apparently, the people at Google view themselves as the latest evolution of cartographers, as they endeavor to digitally map out every terrestrial inch of the planet that humans may dwell. The company is going so far as to bring its Google Street Views to the Winter Games by dispatching a snowmobile outfitted with cameras and GPS trackers to track the courses that skiers and snowboarders will negotiate during their runs in the Games.↵↵Not only that, but Google has put together a gallery of photos taken from the snowmobile and is encouraging others to add their photos from the Games by tagging them “wintergames2010”. If it’s anything like the hilarity to lately come from Google Street View itself, it might be something worth keeping tabs on.↵
