To ensue overtime, Paul Stastny won a face-off and Kyle Cumiskey did the rest. With nine second erased from the clock, the defenseman went into Atlanta’s zone, had four Thrasher bodies surrounding him who simply watched as he quickly cut between the two defensemen and beat Johan Hedberg with a move to the forehand. It was the 23-year-old’s eighth career goal which is probably his best effort to date.
Kyle Cumiskey Freezes Four Atlanta Thrasher Players

↵Nik Antropov, Bryan Little, Tobias Enstrom and Zach Bogosian were all close enough to play Cumiskey but failed to react quickly perhaps underestimating his skill. He who hesitates is lost and four players were clearly lost on this play.
