Not long ago it seemed like Johnny Damon ending up in Detroit was all but a given. However, according to Jon Heyman:

The White Sox have made a late charge for Damon’s services, and while there’s no word on the figures, the Tigers may now have real competition. Damon would presumably get some time in Chicago’s outfield, but serve primarily as their regular DH.
