So the Tigers have covered their bases. If Damon wants to wait for a better market, re-establish his value over one year, and go back into free agency next winter, they probably have the top bid. If Damon wants a little more security and a longer-term deal, they probably have the top bid. This dead market has certainly picked up in a hurry.
