Yesterday there was talk that the White Sox had made a real run at free agent Johnny Damon. Now Ken Rosenthal tells us: not so fast.

Source: White Sox "threw bone" at Damon, but not seriously involved.

If the White Sox aren’t actually serious bidders, then according to reports, that leaves Damon deciding between a one-year offer from Atlanta, a bigger one-year offer from Detroit, and a two-year offer from Detroit.
