Weather is wreaking havoc on the Winter Olympics. First, it wasn’t enough snow. And now, there’s rain and fog putting a damp blanket on the city of Vancouver.
Women’s Super-Combined Postponed Due To Poor Weather
Event organizers had already canceled Friday’s men’s and women’s downhill training, and now they have postponed Sunday’s women’s super-combined race. Saturday’s men’s downhill is also in jeopardy.

It is the second day in a row the women’s downhill training session has been canceled. On Thursday low lying cloud and snowfall forced organisers to call a halt. Heavy snowfall overnight on Friday then left course workers with a mountain to climb to try and prepare the run. In the end, organisers canceled the training session, which will now be rescheduled for Saturday.
This could be great news for Lindsey Vonn, who will now have more time for her injured right leg to heal. There has not been a new date set yet for the event.
The super-combined is composed of one downhill run, followed by a slalom.
The weekend forecast for Vancouver is rain, and temperatures in the 40s. At Whistler, where the skiing events are held, things are slightly cooler, with a mixture of snow and rain.
