Thiago Tavares Out Of UFC 114 Bout With Melvin Guillard
It’s unfortunate to see the bout getting canceled as it was yet another chance to see how Guillard’s skills are improving taking on a guy like Tavares. There is probably enough time for a decent replacement to be found so Melvin will likely still fight on the 114 card.

Guillard has been forced to run a gauntlet of submission artists in his time in the UFC and in his last five fights he’s won four. The lone loss in that period was to Nate Diaz in a fight that Guillard was winning with his striking prior to falling head first into a guillotine choke.
