Just as he did in 2006 and 2009, Nate Robinson of the Knicks has won his third All-Star Weekend Slam Dunk Contest.
Nate Robinson Wins Third Slam Dunk Contest
Robinson met the Raptors’ DeMar DeRozan in the finals. DeRozan’s performance was rather lackluster; his money dunk was a pedestrian two-handed jam that brought absolutely nothing new to the table. Robinson, on the other hand, seemed to win on the strength of, “hey, look at that short guy dunking!”
Robinson is the first player ever to win the dunk contest in three different years.
