Phil Davis v. Alexander Gustafsson at UFC 112

A bout between undefeated light heavyweight prospects is in the works for UFC 112, as Phil Davis, fresh off his successful UFC debut at UFC 109, is expected to return to action against Alexander Gustafsson on April 10 in Abu Dhabi, MMAFrenzy.com has confirmed with a source close Gustafsson.

- MMA Frenzy says that Phil Davis vs. Alexander Gustafsson is in the works.

It’s a decent fight for both men and will set one out as more than just a “prospect” in the 205 pound division.

Gustafsson is a finisher which is the one area where he has an edge of Davis. But Davis’ wrestling is really going to overpower a lot of guys at the Gustafsson level. His inability to finish Brian Stann despite having mount or back control for roughly 80% of the fight is a real red flag on where he is at in his development for me though.

This will be a very interesting fight to see.
