Lyon Takes 1-0 Advantage Early In Second Half

Lyon wasted little time breaking the scoreless draw in the second half of their Champions League match with Real Madrid. In the 47th minute, just after the restart of play for the second 45, Jean Makoun gathered a loose ball in the center circle, charged ahead and then blasted what Grant Wahl called a “ridiculous long-range strike” to give Lyon the slim 1-0 lead.

The match is getting late, and Real Madrid is in danger of being eliminated in the Round of 16 for the sixth straight year.
