Visanthe Shiancoe went on Sirius NFL Radio and said that the Vikings will be looking for revenge against the Saints for the hits they put on Brett Favre in the NFC Championship. Schiancoe says that if he were aware at the time of the happenings, he would have done or said something.
For Visanthe Shiancoe, A Little Goes A Long Way
↵My first question is, was he not aware of how this works? It’s Brett Favre. Of COURSE the other team was illegally hitting him. You’re one win away from your first Super Bowl and the other team is relying on an octogenarian QB...you’re telling me your not taking out his knees every chance you get?
↵Second, I’m pretty sure Shiancoe inadvertently called out his own teammates in the process. By saying he would have done something “had he known,” he’s implying that anyone not running a pass route at the time could have easily seen. i.e. his own defense. Schiancoe says he would have said something to his defense about it. But why would he have to?
↵Finally, Schiancoe puts the fear of God not just into Saints’ fans but husbands and boyfriends everywhere when he says that next season, there “might be a little bit extra out there.” If he’s talking about what I think he’s talking about, that might be the most traumatizing threat of all.
